Disappointed by Noise and Lack of View

My stay was frustrating due to noise in the dining area and initial room placement without a view. Although the amenities appeared promising, they didn't compensate for my experience.

So close to the water!

I stayed for a night in a small King Studio. The views by the waterfront were amazing, but the room felt cramped. Had a beer at the cozy bar. it was nice, though the wallpaper could use a refresh. Not the best place if you're looking for space to spread out.

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed dining at a fantastic restaurant nearby. The availability of a lovely pool really helped us unwind. There are also great spots for relaxation right at the hotel, making it perfect for some chill time. The only downside was a bit of noise from the HVAC, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. 😊

Enjoyed a beautiful sunset view from room 104 during a one-night stay. The outdoor bar overlooking the river offered a friendly atmosphere and excellent service. The ceramic coffee cups in the room added a nice personal touch, complemented by high-quality tea. However, the wallpaper in some areas felt outdated, and the rooms felt a bit cramped.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful decor throughout The George Hotel. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially in the common areas. I also appreciated the walkable location, making it easy for me to explore the charming town.

Need more towel hooks in the rooms.

I enjoyed the beautiful design and the stunning waterfront location. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made my stay special. Dining at The Independent was a real highlight. the food genuinely impressed me. The common areas felt warm and inviting, encouraging relaxation and socializing. However, the room could use more towel hooks for convenience, as it felt cramped without enough places to hang up wet towels. Overall, I had a delightful time despite those small issues.

The King Studio features lovely wallpaper and a modern shower that adds a touch of class. The clean, simple decor gives a fresh vibe which many will appreciate during their stay.

The absence of a refrigerator in the King Studio was quite inconvenient, especially since there’s ample space for one. Additionally, getting ice meant making a trek downstairs to request it, and the tiny ice bucket didn’t help. Wet towels piled on the floor looked messy, and while new towels were provided daily, it would have been nice to have a better system for hanging them up instead of just leaving them around.

we had a wonderful stay at the george! it's beautifully designed and situated right by the waterfront, making it perfect for walks and enjoying local shops and dining. the standout service from staff like kathryn and charlotte was incredible, especially when they helped us extend our stay without any hassle. We also loved dining at the independent. the food was top-notch!
